Our History
In 1992, our founder, Gary Sawyer, brought his passion for great coffee to a whole new place. After spending decades as one of the pioneers of the Seattle coffee revolution, he was ready for a different kind of lifestyle adventure. So he set up shop near the shores of Fidalgo Bay, at the gateway to the San Juan Islands. It was here that he perfected his Precision Roasting Process and his love for the great outdoors. Flush with creativity, Gary set out to craft a truly distinctive collection of blended coffees, using top Arabica beans from different corners of the globe.
The same commitment to the art and science of coffee roasting and blending continues today at Fidalgo Bay Coffee. It’s what makes our coffees so distinctive and the flavors so remarkable and consistent in the cup.
